I was hounded with interview requests from various newspapers and magazines after i had won the world cup. But one of the requests i could not ignore. Paul Faustino wanted to do an exclusive with me and i knew that he would help me write my book and would help me announce my decision to retire.

El Gato had a hard journey to becoming a soccer star. He was tormented as a kid. He was signed as a goalkeeper to DSJ at the age of 15, after his talent was discovered at a logging camp game. He eventually signed to a larger club and won the world cup.

Today after hearing the news that I have the oppertunity to sign a profesional contract and thast my dad may not be willing to let me go is dificult to deal with. I think it would be cool to do thhis becasue my picture would be all over the Cafe's walls when I would return to my hometown. I would be an idol not only to the eople at this city but all over the world becasue i would work my tail off to try to get superstar status.
